24H AMSTERDAM • EXPLORE AMSTERDAM’S NEIGHBORHOODS ONE BY ONE

The city of Amsterdam is hosting a variety of events throughout the year that will help both tourists and locals get to know the city better. The events take place for 24 hours, and are focused on each area of the city: Oost, West, Zuid, and Noord.

24H Amsterdam: Oost

February 13-14, 2016 is all about Oost, the eastern side of the city. Since this year 24H Oost falls on Valentines Day, many activities have a romantic theme. Make some book art or learn about photography at the Volksuniversiteit, get married for 24 hours, have dinner at midnight at StudioK or enjoy a Saturday roast with literary and musical performances at Vergulden Eenhoorn. 24H Amsterdam: West

On March 12-13, 2016 we will visit the West of Amsterdam, and check out all that this terrific neighborhood has to offer. Check out the full list of events. Past years have included a tour of the Afval Energie Bedrijf, a Turkish brunch at Podium Mozaïek, a visit to the legendary Ruigoord community, and a cycling tour of the Amsterdam School architecture! So many interesting events to choose from!

24H Amsterdam: Zuid

This autumn the Zuid and Zuidoost neighborhoods will be visited, with events taking place the weekend of 24-25 of September. Some of the past events included a goat cheese workshop at the Geitenboerderij Riddamerhoeve, a craft tour in De Pijp, and a 3am boat tour of Amsterdamse Bos. Check out the full list of events here.

24H Amsterdam: Noord
