A chic and spacious restaurant, lounge and bar in the ground floor of the art’otel, 5&33 Amsterdam is a fabulous place for drinks, snacks or dinner.

The food menu has lots of options for small or large plates to share over drinks. It’s a great place to go for dinner with a group to bond over a shared meal. Think charcuterie and cheese, as well as dishes like goat cheese ravioli, lamb chops, risotto with fresh peas, and my favorite snack: pimientos de Padron. They also serve a terrific breakfast starting at 6:30 or 7AM and a weekend Bloody Mary brunch. You can also just pop in for coffee at their new Illy espressobar.

Choose wine by the glass or bottle from the great wine list, or go for one of their signature cocktails. The cocktails have naughty names like Lady Intimacy, Sexy Monkey, Horny Mule, Cheeky Panther and French Affair. Go for a gin and tonic or a creative cocktail. You can even take one of their cocktail workshops or masterclasses and learn the art of mixology to make your own. Check their website or Facebook page for the schedule.

The space is huge and decorated in an arty modern style. It is perfect for drinks with a friend, a hot date or business dinner. The location just across from Central Station is great for those traveling from out of town too. It’s a popular spot for birthday celebrations and there’s a DJ every weekend so check it out soon!

Curious about the name 5&33? The restaurant has two entrances – one at Martelaarsgracht 5 and one at Prins Hendrikkade 33!
