BEST IRISH PUBS IN AMSTERDAM
Every city in the world seems to have a Chinatown and an Irish Pub, right? Amsterdam is no different! Here are a few popular places to grab a Guinness.
THE TARA
With their variety of rooms decorated in different themes, The Tara is an old canal house (or 2) that has been converted into a big bar and restaurant. Sit down for dinner, hang out in the bar, or lounge by the fireplace. The usual beers on tap, as well as a full bar and cocktail list. The Tara often has live music, including on St Patrick’s Day.

MOLLY MALONE’S
Located along a small canal in the heart of the city, Molly Malone’s is a nice place to meet for a few beers or try one of their 50 whiskeys. It’s also a good place to catch sporting events, like football and rugby matches on their big screen. Molly’s often hosts expat meetups and has an annual St. Patrick’s Day party with live music. Be warned, it can get very crowded!

A friendly Irish pub near Dam Square, O’Reilly’s is always a good time. Come here to watch rugby or football with a beer in hand, or stop by on Sunday for their traditional Irish roast beef. O’Reilly’s also serves a hearty breakfast (until 18:00) and a variety of burgers and sandwiches.

HOLE IN THE WALL
A great choice for those seeking an Irish brew in the touristy Leidseplein area, Hole in the Wall serves pub grub, Irish beers, cider and whiskey. Drop in for their English language pub quiz on Mondays. We like their lovely dark wood interior.

O’DONNELL’S IRISH PUB
If you find yourself in De Pijp in search of an Irish pub, then O’Donnell’s is the place for you. Sit at the very long bar and order up a Kilkenny, Murphy’s or Guinness chilled to perfection. On a nice day the tables outside on Marie Heinekenplein are a great place to relax.
