With three locations around the city, de Bakkerswinkel is a terrific option for breakfast or lunch. Their fresh breads are fragrant and delicious and customers eagerly spread the fresh jam, marmelade, or lemon curd on top.

The Bakkerswinkel’s charming hand written menu lists lots of options for breakfast or brunch until noon. Bread with meat and cheese, fried eggs, yogurt with muesli, scones and croissants are just a few of the options. Lunch is also delicious here with a variety of sandwiches, soups, quiche and salads. Don’t forget to save room for a slice of one of the delicious cakes or pies.

De Bakkerswinkel is the perfect place to meet up with your friends for a quick or leisurely chat.

High Tea at De Bakkerswinkel

Reserve in advance for high tea, a delightful way to celebrate a birthday or other event. High tea includes scones with cream, small cakes, juice and tea for around €16 per person. You can also get a more deluxe version including a savory lunch and a glass of wine.

Dinner at De Bakkerswinkel

De Bakkerswinkel in the Westerpark is serving borrel snacks and dinner on Friday and Saturday nights. Their cozy space is the perfect place to go on a blustery evening and enjoy a glass of wine (from Vleck) along with their tasty dishes. We were fortunate to try a sampling of their menu and thoroughly enjoyed it. The duck rilettes, black sausage and gooey melted Mont d’Or cheese were all favorites.

Be sure to make a reservation or drop by one evening after a walk in the park.

You can also have dinner Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Warmoesstraat location. The menu has simple dishes with Dutch influences.
