Yin Yoga and Qi Gong are not like other workouts. While a long swim or jog might leave you feeling drained, ancient mind-body practices like these have the power to do just the opposite. They produce more energy than they consume. When we practice Yoga or Qi Gong, we feel calm, invigorated, and clear-headed. We experience a sense of renewal on all levels.
People have been practicing these healing postures for thousands of years. But it’s only recently that scientists have begun to demonstrate how they affect our brains. What science is showing though is that they can benefit us on multiple levels: physical, mental, emotional and psycho-spiritual.
Our Yoga & Qi Gong series with Mylene will help you unlock the powers of these exercises. By deepening the mind-body connection with mindful breathing, stretches, postures and meditation, these ancient practices encourage your natural healing capacities to flourish.

CLASS 1: QIGONG YIN
Date: Saturday the 20th of January from 16:30-18:00
Based on the Chinese Medicine meridian system and five elements, this class combines Qigong flowing movements and Yin Yoga postures.
Qi is the life-force energy in your body. Much like blood flowing through your veins, it flows through different channels—called meridians—and connects the different areas of your body. When your qi is flowing smoothly your body is able to function at its highest performance levels. Sometimes though, your qi can become blocked, limiting your body’s ability to thrive. Like a tree that falls in a river and blocks the flow of a stream, qi blockages affect every part of your body “downstream”
In this class you will gently stretch and stimulate the deep connective tissues of the body, much like acupuncture or shiatsu massage. This helps remove the trees that block the rivers of energy and allows for your life-force to flow freely once again.
This internalised practice advocates mindfulness and meditation, helps to calm the nervous system, and is hugely beneficial to mental and emotional health. If you’re feeling out-of-balance, tired, or just sluggish overall, this class can help pump fresh energy into the neglected areas of your body.
CLASS 2: POWER STRETCH
Date: Saturday the 24th of February from 16:30-18:00
If you are an athlete or want some self-empowerment we’ve got the perfect class for you. This Power Stretch Class with Mylene is the perfect complement to high intensity training. You will flow through the movements seamlessly, igniting a fire inside of you. You will stretch and expand every muscle in your body, working from head to toe in this deep and restorative class
By combining power and strength with flexibility training, you’ll leave this class feeling bold and completely stress-free. This class will tone your body, work your mind, and relieve some of the anxieties that you might have.
