If you are a fan of beer, don’t miss a visit to one of the four Gollem cafes in Amsterdam. With a terrific selection of tasty beers from all over the world, you are sure to find something to suit your fancy.
GOLLEM AMSTERDAM • FOUR SPECIALTY BEER CAFES
Gollem is a pioneering specialty beer cafe in Amsterdam. At the charming original Raamsteeg location in a tiny alley in the center of Amsterdam, Café Gollem has served Belgian beers to thirsty patrons for almost 40 years. This bar stocks more than 200 types of bottled beers and 10 beers on tap.
Gollem does not only serve Belgian brews however. You will find local Amsterdam beers, and brews from all over the Netherlands and Europe as well as the US and other countries. You’ll find a wide range of beers to suit any taste, and you can have a fun time selecting only beers with hilarious or scandalous names .
Gollem fans can also get their fix at the location on Overtoom where there are more than 20 beers on tap and 60 in the bottle. Relax outside on a sunny day and observe the busy traffic on Overtoom, or sit inside and enjoy a Trappist cheese fondue along with your Belgian brew.
The relaxed location in De Pijp often hosts special tastings with local brewers. We recommend a visit to this location after a filling dinner at Spang Makandra nearby. But there are many many places in De Pijp to choose from for dinner.
And don’t miss the newest location on Amstelstraat, an oasis of beer near Rembrantplein. This cute cafe is a bit brighter and more modern than the others. Grab a seat at the bar and ask the bartender for a recommendation from the taps or choose one of the amazing bottled beers. And go for a burrito at The Salsa Shop next door afterward to soak up some of the alcohol.
It’s great to have four Gollems! My precious…
