The DoubleTree has a prime location next to Centraal Station and within walking distance to many of Amsterdam’s famous sights. And they have an amazing rooftop lounge too!
Hilton DoubleTree Amsterdam
The Hilton DoubleTree is a new modern hotel built on a manmade island at the heart of the city center. It is just a 20 minute train ride from the airport and then a short walk from the station. You can easily get around on foot or by trams, which conveniently stop just a few steps away at the station. The hotel also has bikes available for rent.
As you would expect, the up to date rooms have WIFI and even Apple TV and the hotel has a fitness center and two restaurants as well as a Starbucks.
As it is close to Centraal Station, the DoubleTree is a great base for sightseeing, especially if you plan to use trams and trains to get around. You can hop on the train to Haarlem, Rotterdam or Utrecht, see the windmills of Zaanse Schans or grab a tram to Museumplein for the Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk and Van Gogh museums.
You can also easily access the free ferries to Noord to have an adventure across the river.
Of course you can also walk or bike to many beautiful parts of the city center as well. Go window shopping in the Nine Streets or have dinner and drinks in the charming Jordaan.

SkyLounge
If you love rooftop bars you will enjoy the hotel’s SkyLounge. There is a large outdoor rooftop terrace for days with nice weather and you can also appreciate the views from behind protective glass indoors on days when the weather won’t cooperate.
The SkyLounge serves wine, beer and cocktails as well as snacks. You can also enjoy lunch with a view! The lounge is open from midday to late at night.
This is one of the best rooftops in Amsterdam as you can enjoy a view not only over the city but also across the IJ.
