RESTAURANT STAETS IN FELIX IN DE STEIGERS
[closed]You may already know that the Felix Meritis building is undergoing renovations. The space is temporarily dubbed “Felix in de Steigers” and is home to exhibitions, debates and events. The ground floor is home to Staets, a restaurant serving a creative menu based on seasonal ingredients.
For dinner there is a choice of 3, 4 or 5 course meals and of course the option of wine pairings. We had the opportunity to visit Restaurant Staets recently and will definitely return again very soon.
The dishes were all beautifully presented, beginning with the amuse of a sweet macaron topped with pate. The contrast between sweet and savory was delicious in this small bite. The amuse was followed by starters such as burrata with vegetables, a sort of ceviche of sea bass and honey roasted pork belly.
The main courses also did not disappoint. I tried the potato gnocchi with pimientos de padron. I’ve never tasted gnocchi like this. I can’t be sure but I think it was more like perfectly seasoned roasted potatoes in the shape of gnocchi, so good!
In addition to dinner, Restaurant Staets also serves lunch. It’s a great place for a date or business meeting, or just a meal out with friends.
