Craving a healthy meal but can’t decide what flavors you are in the mood for? Head to Spirit for a vegetarian buffet with lots of options.
Spirit Amsterdam • Vegetarian Buffet
I first visited Spirit a few years ago in Rotterdam and fell in love. The easy buffet concept means you help yourself to as little or as much as you want of each dish. Craving a plate full of brussels sprouts with a side of chocolate cake? That’s ok! Help yourself!
You’ll find dishes like Indian dahl, bulghur with pumpkin, lasagna, split pea soup, vegan ravioli, mushroom tempura and spring rolls. Since it is a buffet you can mix flavors on your plate or go with a theme.
Everything is vegetarian or vegan at Spirit and 100% organic. Each dish is labeled with ingredients so if you are trying to avoid certain foods it is simple.
Spirit also makes amazing rich desserts. Take a look at the cakes in their pastry case, they look divine. They also have vegan ice creams.
The menu changes regularly but if you have a favorite dish it is likely to return. Just be wary if your favorite dish is a chocolate dessert – it may be habit forming!
The location is large and bright with lots of windows and different seating areas.
Spirit is open from breakfast to dinner and the buffet closes at 22:00. Oh and it’s located just a few steps from Brouwerij ‘t IJ, so you can fill up on healthy food after downing a few craft beers. 🙂
