Five canal houses on the Herengracht have been transformed into one of Amsterdam’s hippest hotels.

The Hoxton boats 111 unique rooms, a lobby bar and restaurant, lounge, meeting spaces, bright atrium and more! Friendly, helpful staff add the finishing touch.

A lot of care and attention has gone into the design and decor of the hotel. Big windows and skylights provide lots of light, comfy furnishings are combined to evoke a feeling of home and lots of charming details ooze cool glamour. (Interior design was done by Nicemakers, the style geniuses behind lovely places like SLA, Carter and Bar Franklin.)

Due to the layout of the historic canalhouses, all of the rooms are unique. There is an array of sizes from “Shoebox” for the solo traveler to the fancy “Concept” rooms. Some have antique wood ceiling beams, others stunning canal views and one even has a clawfoot bathtub. The beds are luxuriously soft and the bathrooms have waterfall showers. All guests even get a breakfast bag from Stach! Yum!

Locals and guests will enjoy the lobby bar and restaurant, Lotti’s, named after the Soho House designer. They are open from 7:00am to 1:00am and serve food all day, from breakfast to dinner with snacks in between. Don’t miss the bar too, their signature cocktails are fabulous. We aim to try them all!

The Hoxton likes to be a part of the Amsterdam community, hosting cool events not only for guests but for hip locals as well – the concept is called “Hoxtown”. Check their agenda for yoga classes, talks by creatives, air hockey competitions, cocktail workshops and more. Their events are terrific! We often add them to our calendar, check here.

Events are held in the area called “The Apartment” which has a kitchen, an atrium and cool meeting rooms with unique designs and fun touches.
