The Lobby Restaurant & Bar at Hotel V is a chic place to relax with a drink or get a bite to eat. The ambiance is warm and modern with a manly feel. Now with two locations in Amsterdam!

The Lobby at Hotel V

The first Lobby restaurant is part of the Hotel V at Nesplein, in the heart of the city center.

The Lobby Bar & Restaurant aims to attract both tourists and locals with a great menu and elegant, masculine decor.

We loved the charming candles on the tables and the cozy corner with the wood burning fireplace. Their terrace on Nesplein is a nice spot in the warm summer months as well.

Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as snacks and drinks, The Lobby kitchen is open from 7:00 to 22:00. People are buzzing about their tasty flammkuchen, an Alsatian thin crust “pizza” with a variety of toppings.

For breakfast try the eggs benedict smothered in creamy Hollandaise sauce or the wentelteefjes which they call “French Toast Amsterdam Style”.

The restaurant also offers three course dinners for €34 including original dishes with ingredients like duck liver and black pudding. Don’t worry, vegetarians aren’t left out either.

Servers are friendly and efficient, and dress in a cute uniform of denim shirts, black jeans and sneakers. This combination is one of my favorite relaxed outfits as well so I’ll try to remember not to wear it when visiting Hotel V!

The Lobby has quite an extensive beer, wine and liquor list but we think they should add some specialty cocktails to the menu as well. We can definitely imagine sitting around the fireplace with a nice cocktail in hand.

If you’re looking for a spot to have a classy but relaxed meal or a drink in the center of the city, check out The Lobby at Nesplein! This restaurant is a great place to meet out of town visitors and for business lunches since it is located within walking distance of Central Station.

And if you are in Oost, be sure to stop by The Lobby at Fizeaustraat. The same delicious food and classy surroundings but in awesome Amsterdam Oost!
