In addition to comfortable modern hotel rooms, the W is known for their super cool restaurants and lounges. The W Amsterdam does not disappoint. Let’s go check them out!
W HOTEL AMSTERDAM • CHIC AND MODERN IN THE CENTER OF THE CITY
I’ve long been a fan of the W Hotel chain, so when I heard they were coming to Amsterdam – and my neighborhood nonetheless – I was excited!
The W Hotel Amsterdam is split between two buildings close to Dam Square and boasts two restaurants and a rooftop lounge with stunning views.
In addition to comfortable modern hotel rooms, the W is known for their restaurants and lounges, which often become a cool place for locals to drink and dine along with the guests.
The Duchess is located in the old KAS bank building on Spuistraat. It is a stunning elegant restaurant serving lunch, dinner and high tea.
Mr. Porter is located on the upper level of the hotel. The theme of the restaurant is modern steakhouse meets chic lounge.
The lounge on the 6th floor rooftop offers stunning views as well as signature cocktails created by The Fabulous Shaker Boys. For those who like to party in style there are private VIP areas inside fun “cages”. The outdoor lounge areas have amazing views over the city, cozy fireplaces, and one even boasts a long swimming pool! WOW!
There are a total of 238 rooms and 28 suites at the W Hotel Amsterdam. The decor of the hotel itself is industrial chic and quite minimalist with lots of mellow grey shades and concrete floors. The rooms are fun and modern with amazing views. Some of the suites have cool circular beds for the most dreamy sleep or wild nights.
